Tools

Answers,
not calculators.

Each tool asks only what the rule actually turns on, and shows you the reasoning it used — so you can check it, or hand it to your advisor.

Not the one you needed?

There is usually one sum an NRI ends up doing on the back of an envelope — a limit, a deduction, a date that decides which side of a rule you fall on. If yours is not up there, tell us what it is.

The tools that get built are the ones people actually ask for.

How they work

A tool you cannot check
is just an opinion.

Why does it show the reasoning?

Because the answer is only useful if someone else can verify it. Every result lists the tests it applied and the provision each one comes from, so you can take the output to a chartered accountant and have a conversation about facts rather than about the tool.

Does anything I type get sent anywhere?

No. The tools run entirely inside your browser. Nothing is submitted, stored or transmitted, which is also why none of them ask for your name, your PAN or an account number — and why you should never send those to us either.

Can I rely on the result?

Treat it as a well-informed first pass, not as advice. The rules turn on facts that a set of questions cannot always capture, and they change. Where the amount is material, have the position confirmed on your own facts before you act on it.

Please note These tools are general information, not advice. They apply the rules as they stood on the date shown inside each tool. Positions under FEMA, the Income-tax Act and the RBI Master Directions change; check the position as on the date you act.

Which calculation costs you the most time?
